Project Awarded £100,000 from The National Lottery Heritage Fund

We are thrilled to announce that Paths You Walk has been awarded £100,000 from The National Lottery Heritage Fund to document Walsall's 1960s labour heritage through a series of large-format photographic tableaux.

We are thrilled to announce that Paths You Walk has been awarded £100,000 from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The National Lottery Heritage Fund is the largest funder for the UK’s heritage. Using money raised by National Lottery players, they support projects that connect people and communities to heritage — from historic buildings and our industrial legacy, to collections, traditions, stories and more.

“We believe in the power of heritage to ignite the imagination, offer joy and inspiration, and to build pride in place and connection to the past.”

What the Funding Enables

Paths You Walk is made possible with this support. Working with a variety of locally based organisations — including Caldmore Community Garden, Walsall Library Archive, Walsall College, The New Art Gallery Walsall, Walsall Council, and More Than a Moment — we will revitalise Walsall’s 1960s heritage through compelling photographic images.

Each image will undergo meticulous preparation, involving deep community consultations and an estimated timeframe of 3–4 days per image.
