Reimagining Industrial Migratory Stories CIC is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of technology or ability. This website is designed to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

What we do

We have taken the following measures to ensure accessibility: all images carry descriptive alternative text; the site is navigable by keyboard; colour contrast ratios meet WCAG 2.1 AA requirements; animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion setting; pages are structured with semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks; and all interactive elements are clearly labelled.

Deep-zoom viewer

The deep-zoom viewer used on individual tableau pages uses the OpenSeadragon library, which supports keyboard navigation and screen-reader announcements. If you experience difficulty using the deep-zoom viewer, the full image description is available in the text content on the same page.

Known limitations
